Company Flow and some more

Company Flow reunion? That's what I hear...

Word.
Also.

The Rapture’s first track “How Deep Is Your Love?”, off their upcoming album “In The Grace Of Your Love” (out on September 6th via DFA), as part of DFA’s White Out Sessions video series. Definitely an ass wigglin' tune.

more in the rotation:

Hooray For Earth's forthcoming True Loves LP due out June 7 from Dovecote.

Peace.

Best of 2010 .....Pt. 2 1-7

Moving right along.. (If you want to watch a youtube playlist of these tunes click here)

7. Sleigh Bells - Treats

Crank this loud and listen when you aren't worried about offending some one's delicate sensibilities. This is candy pop wrapped in hip hop beats and thunderous rock riffs distorted all out of proportion. Good fun.

6. Beach House - Teenage Dream

Same old formula all cleaned up so you can hear the vocals. I like what these guys do. Take a listen.....

5. Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

Excellent as usual. This one just has a different theme, but all the goods are delivered. Hard to pinpoint tracks that are way better than others.

4. Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest

Really excellent tunes wrapped in Indie dreaminess. I can't get enough. See what you think....

3. Robyn - Body Talk

First released as a 2 part EP, this was released near the end of the year including new material with the excellent EP material. A little bad-ass pixie like lead singer that oozes charisma and has the block-rockin- beats to get the dance party jumpin'!

2. The National - High Violet

This band is right up there with my current favorites and their latest continues to impress me. Get it now!

And before I name number one here are some honorable mentions: Kanye West-My Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Black Keys-Brother, Broken Social Scene-Forgiveness Rock Record, Jimi Hendrix-Valleys of Neptune, Twin Sister-Color Your Life, Titus Andronicus-The Monitor.

Number One...........LCD Soundsystem - This is Happening

I finally got to see old James Murphy and he was as cool as I thought he would be and he made sure that the show exuded coolness without ever seeming like they tried. He was a great stage presence and I lost my mind. Enjoy....

Buy the music and go to their shows whenever possible! Happy New Year!
