Vaseline Machine Gun (and more vintage music)

Just because it is soo good. When music makes magic.Hang on tight. Take a listen if you want to feel good. I don't know if it's just me or what, but I love how Leo is the one who is supposedly nervous yet jumps right out in front and sets the pace for the whole tune. Doc Watson, who is a legend, seems to me to struggle to keep up. Anyway, it's hot stuff.

in case you want more Leo.

"Any musical innovation is full of danger to the whole state, and ought to be prohibited . . . when modes of music change, the fundamental laws of the state always change with them."
(Aristotle, The Politics, translated by T. A. Sinclair, revised by T. J. Saunders, London: Penguin, 1981, book 8, section 5, page 466)

I just love that quote. Music is without a doubt a powerful force. And that combined With Christian Slater leads to riots.

Jason Moran (This is must watch, but it is about 15 minutes to watch the whole thing. Watch it at your leisure and ignore the poptech weird intro. Just get to the music).

Jason Moran is the one who is just boppin' along and shouting a few times, but I don't think he had his keyboard handy in...is this an airport?

Here is a raucous live concert segment:

Enjoy!
