Yes, THE Mission of Burma!

"They're making their noise their way, the same way they did some two
decades ago. And it's a sound as vital and inspirational as ever." - Pitchfork

Mission of Burma is an American post-punk band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1979. The band was formed by Roger Miller (guitar), Clint Conley (bass), Peter Prescott (drums) and Martin Swope (tape manipulator/sound engineer). Miller, Conley and Prescott share singing and songwriting duties. Like many of their post-punk contemporaries, Mission of Burma's efforts are largely concerned with extending punk's original vocabulary without losing its essential rebellious spirit. Using rapid shifts in dynamics, unconventional time signatures and chord progressions along with tape effects, Mission of Burma challenges the prevailing idioms of punk while attempting to retain its power and immediacy. Locals Huak return to SPACE with a slew of new songs from their upcoming EP. The Rattlesnakes open the night.

Enjoy!

Definitely check of MoB if you can. Saw them open for the Pixies in Lowell a few years back, and they almost outdid the headliners. They played a nice mix of the standards and some new stuff. Hope you enjoy MPP. Reveals more upon repeated listenings. Some complex rhythms for sure... -TM
